Catholic NET Ministries Uganda would like to invite you to the LEADERSHIP LEAVEN CONFERENCE 2021 which will be held via ZOOM – from Thursday 9th September to Saturday 11th September starting at 8:00pm to 10:00pm East African Time of each of the days mentioned above. Over the last 17 years the Leadership Leaven Conference has been pivotal in the formation of over 1000 Leaders in Uganda, in Africa and around the Globe, and it brings close all kinds of people young and old, Internationally renowned leaders and those not yet known to share about FAITH, FAMILY, HEALTH, FINANCES and WORK.
This year our Theme is “MOVING FORWARD” taken from 1 Timothy 6:11-12. Our main Speakers this year are; Mr. Shayne Bennet, Mrs Atim Margaret and Matt Fradd.

About the Speakers:
Matt Fradd is the creator and host of the Pints With Aquinas podcast. He is the author and coauthor of several books including, Does God Exist? A Socratic Dialogue on the Five Ways of Thomas Aquinas. Matt earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees in philosophy from Holy Apostles College & Seminary which also awarded him an honorary doctorate. He lives in Steubenville, Ohio, with his wife Cameron and their four kids.
Mrs Atim Margaret Winifred Mugeni
Over 37 years as a teacher and education administrator. I have 20 years’ experience as a classroom teacher at Mt St Mary’s College Namagunga and 15 year experience as school administrator (head teacher) at Maryhill High school Mbarara. I also have 2 year administrative background at the Directorate of Quality Assurance in the Ministry of Education and Sports. I am now a retired head teacher from Maryhill High School Mbarara Archdiocese.(Mbarara district).
I hold a Bachelor of Science and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from Makerere University, and a Master of Education degree (Educational Administration and Planning) from Mbarara University of Science and Technology. I have attended conferences on Education Planning, Administration and Pedagogy, participating as an invited speaker at a number of them. I have participated in the design of Education quality assurance policies, monitored and reviewed secondary school science curriculum as Inspector at the Directorate of Quality Assurance in the Ministry of Education and Sports. While my academic writing is not extensive, I have written a thesis on head teacher role-attitude and leadership style, which was well received in academic circles. My life skills and interpersonal relationships are informed by short courses I have undertaken at Uganda Management Institute (UMI), Centre for Conflict Management, Kyambogo University, and Mbarara University and trained in Roman Catholic leadership at Notwane Pastoral Center, Gabarone, Botswana. I have also undertaken financial and project management studies at UMI.
On retirement in 2014, I was awarded a Presidential Golden Jubilee Award in recognition of my contribution towards girl child education, a role I am still playing as Chairperson Board of Directors Forum for African Women Educationist (FAWE) Uganda. I am also Chairperson Internal Audit Committee Local Government – Northern Region and National facilitator for Career transition, retirement programs Ministry of Public Service.
As a retiree I have initiated and developed a spiritual program ‘Life Ascending – Uganda (LAU) now affiliated to Life Ascending International (LAI) and serving as the Elders Apostolate in the Catholic Church. The development of this program was an inspiration to fulfill the need to bring together Elders of the Nation into a valuable force in the development of Uganda. Above all to foster an enabling environment for the elders to move more deeply into the Love of God and achieve the “Ascent” as they await the “Beyond”.
At domestic level as a retiree, I am occupied with small scale entrepreneurship activities dealing with Nutricare products from poultry, mushroom, piggery and vegetable farming.
My philosophy in leadership is largely transformative, empowering every stakeholder and I love mentoring, advising. Counseling and sharing experiences with people.
